Who is Conrad?
Conrad Szajna is the Founder of Formed Space. He began his industry related education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree. Conrad continued his education at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he obtained his Master of Architecture degree.
Conrad has over ten years of experience working in the architecture and construction industries. In the past ten years, Conrad had the opportunity to work with various reputable firms across the Chicagoland area. Having a passion for the ever-changing modern design, Conrad geared his focus toward architecture. During the past six years, Conrad had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the Chicagoland area, including ‘Modern Schools Across Chicago’, a $1 billion program designed to construct new state of art schools across the city, working with Chicago Housing Authority to rejuvenate low income areas and designing innovative modern residential homes. During his four years in construction, Conrad had the privilege of leading the renovation and construction on multi-million dollar high-end modern and historical homes.
As a frequent and passionate international traveler, Conrad integrates his experiences abroad with the work that he performs. Traveling introduces new ideas and concepts; Conrad enjoys learning about the cultural influences on the design process. His world travels broaden his perspective, and allow him to convey innovative ideas to his team.
